Events
The Centennial Celebration schedule consists of traditional Homecoming activities, reunion groups, and special Centennial events to celebrate our 100-year milestone. A detailed description of each event is provided below, while a more succinct schedule by date and time can be found on the Schedule page.

| Centennial Seminars | As a special feature of the Centennial Celebration week, students and faculty, along with university guests, will have an opportunity to hear from nationally-recognized leaders in a wide variety of disciplines through our Celebration Seminars. Over 35 seminars will be held in various locations on campus at 9am on Friday morning. A complete schedule of Celebration Seminars, along with seminar descriptions and speaker bios, can be found on the Celebration Seminars page. No tickets necessary. |
| Service of Celebration | The Centennial Service of Celebration will reflect on Lee’s 100-year journey, celebrating God’s blessings and taking a look toward the future. The service will feature a choir-and-orchestra of 300 students and a Presidential address. General seating will be available in Conn Center and at other overflow locations around campus. Reserved seating is available for President’s Circle donors. Let us know you are coming by registering for the Centennial Homecoming weekend. |
| Celebration Lunch | Following the Service of Celebration, a buffet lunch for attendees will be held on the Sharp Pedestrian Mall in the center of campus. No tickets necessary. |
| Lee History Told Through the Various Eras | Lee’s 100-year history will be shared in four lectures on Friday, November 2, beginning at 2pm. These 45-minute lectures will begin on the hour in the Walker Lecture Hall of the Science and Mathematics Complex. The schedule is as follows: BTS, The Formative Years (1918-1947) at 2pm; Becoming a College (1947-1967) at 3pm; Discovering Our Identity (1968-1986) at 4pm; the Modern Era (1986-present) at 5pm. No tickets necessary. |
| Centennial Documentary Film | A 90-minute, feature-length documentary exploring Lee’s 100-year history will premiere on Friday at 7:30pm in the Dixon Center. Subsequent showings throughout the Centennial Celebration weekend will take place in the Doris Johnson Screening Room in the Communication Arts Building. Due to limited seating, this is a ticketed event. Tickets can be reserved through the registration page on the Centennial Celebration website. |
| Music Makers: 100 Years of Music | Music has been a critical part of Lee’s institutional fabric since its inception. Discover Lee’s musical history through this special music presentation on Friday, November 2 at 7:30pm in Pangle Hall. Seating is limited, so be sure to reserve a ticket on the Centennial Homecoming registration page. |
| The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe | Lee Theatre is pleased to offer a special Centennial performance of C.S. Lewis’s the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. Performed at Lee College in 1965 and 1994, this creative interpretation, an adaptation written by Joseph Robinette, will take place in the Buzz Oates Black Box theater on Friday, November 2, at 7:30pm and then again on Saturday, November 3, at 2:30pm and 7:30pm. Tickets are required and can be reserved through the registration page on the Centennial Celebration website. |
| Centennial Party | Following the three main events on Friday evening, there will be a special Centennial Party at the Forum. Alumni, students and special guests will gather for desserts, fun and fellowship. The party will begin around 9pm. No tickets necessary. |
| Centennial Walk: Historic Campus Tour | Lee moved to its current location over 70 years ago. Explore Lee’s historical campus through the guided Centennial Walk. Tours will leave every 30 minutes from the lobby of the Higginbotham Administration Building between 10am and 2pm on Saturday, November 3. For an interactive, virtual tour experience, download our virtual walking tour app through iTunes or Google Play. No tickets necessary. |
| Campus Choir 60th Anniversary Concert | The Campus Choir 60th Anniversary concert will take place in Pangle Hall on Saturday, November 3, at 4pm. No tickets necessary. |
| Life at Lee: Centennial Performance | The first Lee Day was held in 1964, and somewhere along the way, the Life at Lee tradition began and has been a favorite for decades. Join us for a special Centennial performance of Life at Lee at 7:30pm on Saturday, November 3. No tickets necessary. |
| Centennial Worship Service | Close out the Centennial Celebration with a time of corporate worship and reflection. For those who are still in town on Sunday morning, come worship with us in The Chapel at 10am. No tickets necessary. |

| Department Breakfasts | Alumni will have a chance to reconnect with faculty and peers at the academic department breakfasts, where attendees will have a chance to hear the history of each respective department. Tickets are $5 each and can be reserved through the registration page on the Centennial Celebration website or bought at each venue location. |
| Club Gatherings | Club gatherings are a traditional element of Homecoming. Individual clubs will host separate events. Watch for individual listings on the Celebration Homecoming schedule. Tickets may be required, depending on the club/organization, and can be purchased at the event. |
| Student Organization Booths | Come visit with members of Lee’s various clubs/organizations, past and present. Student clubs and organizations will set up booths in the Sharp Pedestrian Mall at 10am on Saturday, November 3. |
| Tailgate party and Flames Walk | Grab a hot dog or hamburger and help us kick off the 2018-19 basketball season at a tailgate party on the Sharp Pedestrian Mall from 11am-1pm. Line the walkway for the Annual Flames Walk at 11:15am. No tickets necessary. |
| Basketball Games | The annual Homecoming basketball game is on Saturday, November 3, in Walker Arena. Lady Flames square off against Faulkner University at noon, followed by the Flames, who take on Piedmont College at 2:30pm. Tickets are $10 each for adults and $5 each for children (12 and under), and can be purchased through the registration page on the Centennial Celebration website. |
| President’s Circle Dinner | The annual event to recognize President’s Circle donors will take place on Friday, November 2, at 6pm. Distinguished Alumnus of the Year and Honorary Alumnus of the Year will be recognized in a short ceremony. This event is by invitation only. Please reserve tickets through the registration page on the Centennial Celebration website to let us know you are coming. |
| President’s Circle Lifetime Reception | A special recognition ceremony for those being inducted into the President’s Circle Lifetime will take place during Homecoming. This event is by invitation only. |
| Athletic Alumni Reception | All athletic alumni are invited for a reception at Walker Arena at 10am on Saturday, November 3. This will be a time to celebrate all generations of Lee University Athletics and an opportunity to join the Flames Walk at 11am. No tickets necessary. |

| Ellis Hall Fire Residents 25th Reunion | Twenty-five years have passed since the Ellis Hall fire on November 4, 1993. Seventy-six young men lived in that dormitory; all survived. Ellis Hall residents are invited to this special reunion, a time to reflect and give thanks. In honor of this anniversary, there will be a Centennial Seminar panel of Ellis Hall residents, special seating and recognition in the Service of Celebration, and a special service at the Ellis Hall site at 8:30am on Sunday, November 4. | Campus Choir 60th Reunion | In recognition of Campus Choir’s 60th anniversary, a welcome reception and rehearsal will take place from 3-6pm in the Curtsinger Music Building Choral Rehearsal Room on Friday, November 2. On Saturday, rehearsal and sound check will begin at 1pm in Pangle Hall, with the Campus Choir 60th Reunion Concert starting at 4pm. A reunion dinner will follow at 6pm in the DeVos Recreation Center. The reunion choir will also perform at RTTN in Chattanooga at 9am and 11:30am on Sunday morning. | Student Leadership Council 20th Reunion | The Student Leadership Council is celebrating its 20th anniversary. If you were a part of the SLC, please come to reconnect with friends, meet members from different eras, and reminisce about your time serving our community and your fellow students. SLC alumni can register for weekend activities through the Centennial Celebration website. |
| Epsilon Lambda Phi 30th Reunion | Epsilon Lambda Phi is celebrating 30 years with a softball game on Souther Field from 5-9pm on Friday, a formal club dinner from 6-9 on Saturday and a worship service and brunch at 9am on Sunday in the Mayfield Annex. | Class of ’78 Reunion | This year marks the 40th anniversary of the Class of 1978 which will hold its reunion at Jenkins Deli on Saturday, November 3 at 5:30pm. |
| Zeta Chi Lambda 10th Reunion | Zeta Chi Lambda is celebrating 10 years with a breakfast from 8-10am and a formal club dinner from 6-8pm on Saturday. Zeta alumni can register for weekend activities through the Centennial website. For more information, contact Hailee Coleman at hcolem02@leeu.edu. |

| Lee Singers 55th Reunion | Join the former conductors and your classmates as we celebrate 55 years of music ministry and excellence on November 3 from 1-2:30pm in the School of Music Instrumental Rehearsal Room. Please bring your families with you and stop in for a few minutes or stay awhile. “Once a Singer, Always a Singer.” |
Child Care
Childcare will be available on Friday, November 2 and Saturday, November 3. A one-time $20 fee reserves spots for your family members under 12 years of age for the entire weekend. Times and locations can be found below. You may reserve childcare through the Centennial Celebration registration form. When reserving a ticket, we ask that you provide name(s) and age(s) as well as date(s) and time(s) you will need child care so we can prepare appropriately. Note: you only need to purchase 1 ticket per family.
